Would he still have the right to work? It's one thing to be resident, it's another entirely to be allowed to work (c.f. Australia's immigration system, supposedly the template Britain wants to follow).

It would be bad for the Premier League as they would have to apply the same criteris to EU players as they do to Brazilians, Nigerians etc.

Good for the development of homegrown talent and a lot more young Irish lads getting a shot at traditional Irish clubs like Lolpool and Manyoo.
