Cork writer Patrick Galvin's previously unseen play, set in a women's prison in Northern Ireland, circa 1981. Humour and camaraderie sit uncomfortably alongside brutality in this production which runs at Cork Arts Theatre until Saturday 18th, nightly at 8pm.
There is a special 2for1 ticket deal this Monday 13th, normal prices: 20/ 17.50 euro.
Excellent performances from the 14-strong cast. Over 18s only.

This play includes scenes of a violent nature, and also features a prisoner on hunger strike. The production was well received by an actual hunger striker from the early 80s. On seeing the performance last Saturday night, he described it as an accurate snapshot of prison life, with the stripsearch scenes in particular making his blood run cold - invoking painful memories of the time.
The Cage is on nightly at Cork Arts Theatre at 8pm, up to and including this Saturday night 18th.
The cast and crew would really appreciate any support - it's not easy to get the crowds in on the second week of a run, so if you've seen it, encourage your friends to see it, or come along some night when you're not going to the Barber of Seville or a music gig, and spread the word about it.
Many thanks
