Three points and a clean sheet. What more could you ask for?

Saw whole 2nd half, pretty grim really from both teams in heavy rain with Brighton sitting very deep only coming out a little in last 10 mins and allowing Liverpool to keep the ball. Only points of note were Fabinho playing well at cb and Salah´s bit of magic to draw the penalty from a silly foul. Referee seemed to give Liverpool everything, the crowd got on his back but he didnt change. Important win given the context and even a draw would have been like a defeat with City in such good form again.
Next 4 matches are nicely spaced out before a tougher run when the CL restarts. Sat 19th Palace h, Weds 30th Leicester h, Mon 4th West Ham a, Sat 9th Bournemouth h. All decent opposition but you would have to say 4 wins are a must from those 4. The other top teams will have LC/FA cup games mixed in. Still City at 6/4 (and even Spurs at 25/1) are better value than Liverpool(4/7) to win the league.

Ref didn't give Liverpool everything just for the sake of it. Brighton were fouling...whats he supposed to do???Liverpool were slicker and faster hence the Brighton player fouling

3 points, job done, was vital to get the win. I don't know how Salah missed that chance towards the end.

Thought Fabinho was excellent considering he was playing out of position. He's turning out to be a great buy.
Though saying that, it must have made it so much easier for him playing alongside Van Dijk.

Agree, all were fouls but it takes a strong referee to continuously penalise the home team which he did. The penalty was pretty clearcut and Van Dijk also could have had one in the 1st half. There was a gulf between the teams but Liverpool lacked any edge today and 0-0 or 1-1 wouldnt have been unfair.
