Edit - actually nowhere near top 3.
Who carried the forward line in the early parts of the season ? it was Mane.

Liverpool might not be in the position they are in had he not been performing.

If he's not top 3 he's certainly top 5.

Mane is a monster who puts in tremendous effort and movement every game. After VVD he is our toughest player and tracks back better than any forward I know including Bobby. He does miss chances but he creates a lot and scores and assists enough. He is the kind of player you would curse and proclaim your love for him in the span of five minutes.

As for pessimism, once bitten twice shy and all that.
Except in this case its about 29 times bitten.

Camacho could be an option , Pereira the Leicester LB is a decent player, he'd fancy a go at a young RB but that would leave Leicester open too.

Camacho isn’t an option. He has shocking positional sense. I don’t see how we are going to make a defender out of him. He’s a winger. Bit of a rest until next game and TAA’s injury isn’t as bad as first feared I think so he may be available again.

On Mané, he’s a super player. Not very clinical but what a threat to have and he works his socks off too. Wouldn’t change him for anyone.

He'd probably be our top player if he got some basics right. Stop going offside, he does this about 20 times a game, although I think yesterday was the first time all season he wasn't really caught offside. At times he can be brilliant, at times then he just infuriates me. A big smile on his head then when he misses a sitter. And he needs about 30 chances before he takes one of them. Don't smile, be angry and make sure you get the next one. Alright, every player is going to miss some chances but some of the chances he has missed this year should never be missed by a professional footballer. I can't remember which game it was now but there was one game he had so many chances and didn't take any one of them.

If I were to choose one of the front three to go, it would be him any day of the week.

And some times he doesn't think on the ball. Yesterday he should have passed to either Salah or Shaq, it wasn't acceptable that he didn't a 3 on two situation. Madness. It's not the first time he has done something like that either.

Mané 9 open play goals from 45 open play shots.

Salah 11 open play goals from 62 open play shots.

Firmino 5 open play goals from 40 open play shots. it

But people should never miss an opportunity to chat shit.

Edit:

Big chances missed (Sofascore):
Salah 12
Firmino 6
Mané 5

Buvac now officially no longer an LFC employee.

No further detail emerging on the reason for his exit (...other than the rumours at the time).
