The commitment of the fans is to be admired but in all honestly the wider club deserves exactly what it gets for the way it treats its managers.

Hopefully the class and quality that Hughton showed when in such a challenging role will help him secure his next job.

Next Irish manager perhaps?

It's a great sign that he got a lot out of a bunch of players without having the luxury of making big signings, a great pointer for international managerial credibility.

I hope they get relegated.

That is really a disgraceful decision.

He had quite a good squad in the Championship anyway.

Saying that, fuck Ashley and i hope that club bleeds the fat fucker even dryer again.

Was going to post the exact same sentiments.

The guy on SSN is intimating just now that it appears the club administration have decided they want to take the club in 'a different direction'. They might find themselves taking a different direction alright but not the one they imagine or hope for.

A good few decent quality players left when they got relegated 2 years ago and Hughton has taken them to a stronger position than they were in back then.

had exactly the same thoughts myself, maybe another club stint and then if he is still doing well he can take over from trap once the euros are done

a far better option than the likes of keane, whos name is constantly bandied about

Newcastle = Gimps, hope they go down for such idiotic behaviour

Surprised none of the SFI have been inn to roll out the disgusting business line, because if ever there was a time for it....

He might have had a decent squad in the Championship but he inherited a complete mess. Players at war with supporters and themselves. The board at war with supporters and themselves and crazy contract situations there - players not having relegation clauses etc.

He kept his head down and got on with the job. They're ucrrently 11th in the table having beaten the current leaders. Crazy, crazy, crazy decision.
