And you wanna know this because...??

Anyway, whatever about pubs, there is this lovely bookshop in Skib called the Time Traveller. A little Pokeen of a place but wonderful for any avid reader. Bought a first edition( 6 Books) of Thomas Jefferson back in 2011. Rare find . The guy who owns it really has something quaint and notable re books and reading. Well worth a gander for any avid readers out there....just saying😏

If that's the bookshop that had a sister book-shop off Lancaster Quay in Cork City I'd avoid it. Outrageously priced books - though I'm not into first editions. There is a very good bookshop in Skibb on the same street as The Tanyard but further away from the Statue on the opposite side of the road. Plenty of history books with local interest

Lol, you beat me to it. Even more outrageous were the prices for the second hand records they had there. Charging sixty/seventy Euros for bog standard charity shop fare.

Because Gianluca Vialli and Harry Redknapp were found by the Garda drinking there after hours after a local GAA game and landed the owner of the pub in court
