Mick Malone was some man for one man. There were a few others that used to mind their team-mates.

They said that when Willie Duggan played for Ireland the French would behave for fear of getting a dawk.

Deckie Daly when playing at centrehalf for City. He must have been the smallest centrehalf in the league, but a life-taker. It was entertainment in itself just watching Deckie extracting retribution for some perceived slight or other.
