Default Four Tet Vs The Bad Plus

The bastards...

The two bands this year I really really really wanted to see in Cork, and what happens? Theyre both playing at the same time on the same night, Four Tet are in Club One, and Bad Plus in the Half Moon, on Tuesday 15th of November.

Cant believe this, fuck all else on for the other 364 nights this year and they schedule these two on the same night... I dunno what to go to know...

Im not sure what sort of gig the Four Tet one will be. Apparently, sometimes for a gig its just him and his records, and sometimes he has a band with him. Not sure what the plan for Cork is, but if its just him DJing then Im gonna go to the Bad Plus. Otherwise I might go to Four Tet. Maybe...

i've had the same dilema, i've decided on bad plus
on the grounds that apparently fourtet is a "live laptop" set which i got from a reliable source, i'm flummoxed about what that means in real terms but i do know bad plus will be playing piano, double bass and drums which is the set up they make and record their albums with

i'm flying to london to see fourtet the previous week so I'll post a review of sorts with what "live laptop set" means

i hope it means he'll have banks and banks of stuff all been controlled via his laptop, because hebdon never seems to cut corners
