Default Organ Donation in Euthanasia

I read an article in a newspaper recently whereby people were now opting to have their organs removed before they were dead.

The article in this newspaper condemned the practice of Euthanasia and purported to completely be against the concept of terminally ill patients opting to have their organs removed prematurely (in Order to preserve the organs and keep them healthy, as death often renders the organs un useable)

It's a funny one..in ethical terms ....but makes sense otherwise.

Would you do it? Would you let a loved one do it?

If someone is dying I can't see what use their organs would be to anyone else.

Depends what they are dying from, and how old they are.

Yeah, euthanasia is associated with diseases like terminal cancer and degenerative conditions like MS, hardly ideal ailments for organ donation.

You know that you could have a terminal illness and still have organs worth donating, right?

It's not something that I had ever given consideration to but I see that a person with cancer can still arrange to donate eyes (the cornea), ligaments, tendons or heart valves.

Where do you think donated organs usually come from?
