Default Fergi for the sack.......

Taken United from being the best side in Europe by miles in 99 to the shite he puts out these days 1 to 11.

Should have went when Becks went.

Backwards and still going since that great night in Barcelona.

Disgrace.

'99 was a fluke. He has fucked up royally though given the quality of players he's had and the amount of money he's been given.

Ferguson is not up to it at the very highest level, his level is beating his feeder clubs Everton and non entities like Middlesbrough and Roma

By that logic, Benitez and Liverpool are up to it at the highest level but painfully not up to it at domestic level?

Interesting theory.

I would suggest the difference is two-legged European cup football and away goals. Fergie has never known quite how to prepare his side for it. If you look at their form (against some very good teams) in the league sections since 99, it's been much better than their form when it comes to the more tactical and conservative affair of the knockout stages.

Fergie's not perfect. Never been a master tactician.

But a far better manager than [insert tin pot continental 'guru' name here].

in fairness fergie's won 3 european trophies in 24-25 years, 1 with the minnows of aberdeen, most managers would be happy with one

Curbishley and Pardew would be happy with that.

But we're talking a better class of manager here, thats what the bumslappers tell us he is.
