Bennett will have to leave Bora. Sagan is number one and this is another big blow to Bennett especially since he was in such good form.

I'd agree. He's probably one of the top five or ten sprinters in the world and he should be going to the grand tours.

Oh, right. Haven't been following the Giro in detail, don't get the same buzz out of it as the Tour or the Vuelta for some reason, even though it's a great race.

Didn't know he was from Cork

Today's stage looks interesting. Time to see if this Roglic lad can go a full 3 weeks and with a less than brilliant team from what I read.

A Banteer man. Was fantastic at youth level but as been a little unlucky with a few crashes in the last 2 years.

What an absolutely bizarre stage today. I felt for poor ol Carrusso. He sat up for the third time with about 10 or 12 k to go and almost said out loud, Ok lads/Nibs, see you at the finish. Only to be called on again!!!! for another pull.

Either Nibali was trying to psyche out Roglic or they were all fairly goosed.

Yates, who looked like finishing 20th finishes 2nd!

Le Tour finally moving into the action phase - some serious racing over the next 10 days. Dan just over 2 minutes back and with almost no team as usual. It's strange to have the big Pyreneees climbs so late that they are right before the heavy Alps stages.

Those gaps at the top will widen now. I wonder does Alaphillipe have it this year.

Froome reportedly back up on a bike yesterday (static presumably). They have to be taking the piss with his reported injuries?
