I don't know why Staunton didnt play Kenny in goal against san marino. It would have made perfect sense to play Kenny in a game where he was more than likely to keep a clean sheet. Would have been good for Kenny's confidence, gotten him a bit more international experience, shown that stan had a bit of faith in him too and taken some of the heat off Kenny.. Given could have been rested too.
Now Staunton needs him for the important matches and paddy is nowhere to bee seen.

Seen a bit of him last year in the championship and he looked a lot better. Still i reckon i would take a so-so premiership keeper over a good eircom league keeper any day.

Joe Murhpy ( Scunthorpe ) is a better keeper.

I think so, he played under-age for Ireland.

Mick Devine, but you'd say i was biased. Dan Connors has played at U21s but he could easily have an off game. From the eL Barry Ryan would have to be considered.

The question is though ..... how low will Stan go before picking an eL keeper? Will he go to conference level to find someone who has an Irish neightbour over, for example Mick Devine who has the best keeping record in the league in the last few years with record number of clean sheets, getting a notable from UEFA for his performances in Europe in 2005.

I know people will snub the league no matter what the situation but the fact remains, there is a very real practical decision to make here, and its Stans decision to either get right or fúck up. He will be judged on this decision, even more so if he does fúck it up.
