RESISTANCE SUMMER SESSION AT 10 JOHN STREET

Whilst the multitudes of unwashed rockers head for Punchestown next weekend, Resistance is putting on a super Summer Session at 10 John Street on Saturday 8th July, featuring their talented local residents plus everbody’s favourite Irish DJ, Billy Scurry. It’s only € 8 on the door if you make it down before midnight and € 10 thereafter. The new layout of 10 John Street has been working brilliantly at recent dance events and now it is the residents turn to show that they can give the 10 Sound System a proper workout.

Billy Scurry
Billy is the nation’s favourite DJ. He has been involved in the dance scene in Ireland since his residency at the legendary Sides back in 1990. He has been a frequent visitor to Waterford over the last decade and always gets a great reception for his sets which cover all the bases of quality dance music. He was last in 10 John Street in Feb playing on the Bud Rising bill with DJ Sneak and he nearly stole the show from the BIG man.

Niall Power
Niall is Waterford’s techno and electro main-man haven being on warm up duty for Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke etc. His own Electric Circus clubnight has brought some great DJ talent to Waterford over the last couple of years and Niall has been a guested many times at the hugely respected Electric City in Dublin and at other techno nights in Ireland and abroad.

Gavin Boyce
Gavin is the first Waterford DJ to create a bit of a stir across the water. A couple of his productions ended up in influential DJs’ bags at the WMC in Miami and has led to some of his tracks being released stateside. His new track “So Obvious” is included on the next Ministry Of Sounds Session CD mixed by Mark Farina. Expect to hear plenty of Gavin’s quality tracks and remixes on the night.

Paul Mac
Paul Mac has been Gavin’s deck partner on most of the BIG Resistance nights over the last few years. They have played some great warm up sets before legend’s like Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada and Erick Morillo and most recently they played a storming set before Seb Fontaine when Felix Da Housecat failed to make it to Ireland.

The Resistance Residents Summer Session at 10 John Street on Saturday 8th July. One great club and 4 talented DJs, all for € 8 (€10 after midnight).
