Good performance by Damo last night - the pav was heaving.

Very disappointing that there was only one new song (if that) last night.

Come on Damo. New album way overdue.

He has been playing a fair few new tunes out over the last 6 months. The new stuff is good.

I heard a couple of new ones about six months ago at a gig and I thought they were really good.

"Community" last night didn't impress me much tbh.

Eamonn de Barras new piano arrangements on some of the older songs were superb though. He is one class musician.

I heard Damo say recently that he had had writers block for a while - but it is now over four years since To Hell Or Barbados, his last original album.

Each to their own, Eoin, but for me he is the most original Irish musician of the last ten years. No point in trying to convert anyone, I know - the guy polarises opinion like few others.

Yeah, I don't understand it at all tbh.

I can't stand the whole singer/songwriter one lad and his guitar nonsense anyway but he stands out as being even worse than the rest of them.

I'm not that into the whole 'earnest guitar-playing singer songwrter' thing myself either, but I do think he is a genius of sorts, in the mould of Shane McGowan.

I could go on but I'd probably make a tool of myself...
