The Former Yugoslavia Football Team
They had a serious team in the early 1990's.Of course Red Star Belgrade also won the European cup in 1991.Remember now that the old Yugoslavia team also had the pick of Croatia as well.I really do think they would have won Euro 1992, and they would have gone close to winning the world cup in 1994, if it wasn't for the country falling into civil war.

Clearly red star are crap, so that EC does not count. I think that's how it works around here, isn't it?

They always underperformed though. Maybe the political differences at the time took it's toll on that team. I doubt they would have won anything tbh.

Robert Proseneski was a great player to watch. The Andre Pirlo of his day. Had stints at Madrid and Barca....and Portsmouth.

What would a contemporary Yugoslav team look like?
Handy enough I'd say:
Croatia for example have the midfielders: Pjanic, Modric, Perisic,Rakitic,
They also have Mandzukic
