I wouldn't be surprised if the Oak Island pit is a depository for the Kings money used to fund the Redcoats rampage in America. The enormous funds had to be secreted somewhere safe. Not on a ship that could sink or on the continent where the Buckskins might get at it. British engineers were quite skilled in such works.
