If this winter is anything like last with the homeless crisis still dominating the headlines and also the now annual hospital trolly crisis which hits it's peak in those months then Jan/Feb would be the worst possible months to go to the polls. Anyway he has the Abortion referendum to get through so if that's to be held in the Summer I think the election will be further pushed out, they might even last until the following Spring? The situation could change rapidly due to unforeseen events of course.

Whatever about the water refunds, they will get no votes for the Christmas extra in dole payments, these people hardly vote and if they do it is left wing parties they vote for

True - the extra Dutch Gold and Silk Cuts at Christmas will be well forgotten come the election anyway.
