Heard someone the other day say they were already saving for Christmas. Now I understand it's an expensive time , but in all fairness when are people gonna cop themselves on re this mania?

The other side of it ,is that it really affects business' trying to make ends meet. When consumers feel the pressure to tighten the belt months prior , thus leaving anyone in business (small businesses in particular) having to weather a major 'slack' time.In my humble opinion Christmas should not be allowed to be advertised until reasonably close to the festive season.

What is the rush I ask? We still get to enjoy Christmas. At CHRISTMAS TIME!

Not 3 months beforehand....

Anyway, just my two cents....

But, but, you know what media types are like......they spend the first ten minutes of every dinner party waffling about the ready meals in M&S.

Hence the proliferation of articles about UK food costing more here.

(With extra BSE....all for free!)
