Default Pat McAuliffe RIP

Just saw this on twitter

Cork GAA would like to express their deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of @RTEsport reporter Pat McAuliffe RIP who has died suddenly. Pat covered Cork games for @rte and was a regular visitor to Pairc Ui Rinn & Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Very good broadcaster and nice guy too. Been around since Cork local radio days in RTE.

I actually saw Pat yesterday for the first time yesterday and wondered who he was. He had a notebook in his hand and my first impression was that he was a reporter. He was very well dressed which was what caught my eye initially.

May be Rest in Peace.

God bless him and R.I.P.
A sound fella who had an interest and love for all sports.I knew of himbfromvyears being involved and attending sporting events. Not sure if it was 'sudden' or was he poorly for a while, but its just so sad and he being so young.

Lovely lovely guy, a real Rebel, took the time to say hello to me one time back in the early 90s at a city midweek game when I was on the Lang from college, he knew the score with us on the hop from school, loved his radio reporting style and was so affable and knowledgable about all Cork sports, RIP Pat and enjoy the view down from above.
