I wonder is the 5 teams gone from the grade going to dilute winning it next year. Then again a county is a county

I wouldn’t think so. If anything a couple of the teams like mallow and Cloyne had slipped back and were promoted on results based on 2016-17

I don’t think the team winning it next year will feel any less about it

Going to be some championship by the looks of it! Be very interesting to see how Blackrock fair against such strong opposition and whether they can build on this years success.

If they can fair well in this grade you could only imagine it benefitting their senior set up

Group 1 probably weakest, Courceys should be best there

Other 2 groups are hard

Inniscarra vs Blarney be tasty. Group 3 looks toughest to me. Group 2 evenly matched but stronger teams in group 3 I think. Is it just one knocked out from each group?

I was looking back over the gradings sent out for this competition. Inniscarra have 140 points but were incorrectly given 40 points for a quarter final in 2016 (they lost to Fermoy). Ballinhassig have 110 so should actually have been the last A seed in the draw. Pretty poor mistake to make!!
