The same named objector against The Events Centre has also lodged an appeal to An Bórd Pleanäla against a development on Penrose Quay.

Eleanor Hunter. She had a company (now dissolved) called Little Red Hen Engineering.

Is she just a bitter former structural engineer or similar...now not practicising but at kne time was coining it from the building industry.

FFS, that's a joke. The time for that sort of argument is when the City Council are developing their guidelines. If the scale of the building meets the planning guidelines, objections like this should not be entertained.

Maximum impact though: objections like this can delay the whole project and cost developers thousands. It also enables the objector to withdraw the objection and allow the project to go ahead.

Maybe developers could pay solitary objectors to withdraw these last minute objections?

I reckon she knows that and is hoping for exactly what you're saying.

I doubt Karamex Ltd are beating down the door to start a major development. I don't see how they would have the capability to execute a project like this. It's almost like they saw the development right next to the land they own and decided to add planning permission to add even more value to their land and subsequent sale. They even copied and pasted the design from next door
