where is the most dangerous place you have ever visited?
For me, a toss up between Sri Lanka 1990, right after the government put down the socialist uprising (Did ya read Anil's Ghost?) and Kashmir the same year, when the war was just breaking out. In retrospect we were insane to be in either of those places, but it made sense at the time.

I was in Bosnia in 97 when the war had only just ended.
Although everyone told me I was nuts, the area I was going to had always been well inside Croat territory and had never been affected by the war. It's still cool to say I was in Bosnia in 97.

The Blue Dragon between Fermoy and Mitchelstown, when it was a nightclub.
