Dodgy first half from Leeds, much better in the second. Huddersfield created a lot of problems in the first half. Unsurprising really given the makeshift nature of Leeds' back four (two full backs in the middle and two wingers at full back).

Once the game became stretched, Leeds' quality in the final third made the difference. The second goal was a lovely team goal.

Beat Fulham 2-1 away. Only saw the first half. Both sides really good in that half but we were stronger and deserved the lead. Apparently we were hanging on a bit at the end but that's a brilliant 3 points.

Another 3 points and another clean sheet even if it was a mediocre display. Our crossing of the ball into opponents area was awful. MOT.

Not as dominant a performance, but three more points. Hull are a decent side but Dallas did a decent marking job on Bowen. Another clean sheet, 12 so far from 21.

Other results went our way too.

Never take anything for granted, especially in that league, but fairly robust gap developing now between Leeds, WBA and the rest.

It is a healthy gap now.

I still reckon Fulham are the main dangers. We play them at Craven Cottage on Saturday week. Avoiding a defeat there will be key. At some point, Fulham will bite the bullet and realize Scott Parker is their weakest link. Hopefully by the time they do, we will have established a nice lead over them.

I don't think the Championship is as strong at the top as it was last year. Leeds took a lot of flak for bottling it last season, but you have to give credit to Sheffield United for how they performed over the second half of the season (2.00+ ppg). They have carried that form into the Premier League.

Is there another Sheffield United lurking this term? Not sure I see it. Forest's defensive style of play doesn't work in home games. Bristol City are over-achieving statisically. Preston are solid, but hard to see them topping 75 points. Brentford have a lot of talent but remain inconsistent. Sheffield Wednesday should be there or thereabouts in terms of top six, but not sure a Fletcher/Nuhiu front-line is ultimately good enough.

So things are looking good at the moment, but any team would be vulnerable to two or three key players picking up injuries. Leeds didn't strengthen sufficiently last January and it was a factor near the end, when mental fatigue kicked in. Even one quality signing this time around would be a huge boost and settle a few lingering doubts amongst the supporters.
