That was only a passing comment, just thrown out there to get feedback on what they are thinking of as means of raising the profile. Do believe everything you read, and definitely take notice of who writes it if you do.

Youth league Cup final. Cork City FC vs Everton FC. Sunday at 7pm in Turners Cross.

This Sunday evening Turner's Cross is the place to be with two of the country's top youth teams in action in the Cork City and County League Cup final. Cork City and Everton play the first of three cup ties in which they have been drawn against each other, the other two being the FAI Cup third round and the Munster Youths Cup third round.

City will be looking to David Meyler, recently called up to the first team squad, to be the creative force in the middle of the park providing service for Jason Murphy and Stephen McCarthy up front. Darragh O'Callaghan, Eddie Carroll, Eoin Forde and Kevin Holland will be battling it out for the other three midfield spots on the night. City have a much more solid defence this season with the addition of Ian Turner and John Dineen who make up a back four that also consists of Richard O'Donovan and left back and Captain Brian Murphy. Murphy lifted three Cups last season, the Under 17 league, League Cup and the Holland Cup and will be hoping to add to that this Sunday evening. He told CorkCityFC.ie that the players relish the chance to play at Turner's Cross: "Its great to get to play at the 'Cross in a final, all the lads are really up for it. There is fierce competition to get on this team because not only because its a final but players want to get a taste of Turner's Cross because the ultimate goal among us all is to break into the first team squad and get to play here in front of the Cork City fans on a regular basis".

Manager Paul Bowdren commented on the fact that there has been fierce intensity at training this week: "Everyone wants to play so everyone is trying to impress. There are one or two positions that I'm not sure of yet. Its a great occasion for the players to play at Turner's Cross and so it is very difficult to decide who to leave out. But that competition means that we have quality in depth in the squad and I am confident that we can take the silverware on Sunday with a good performance."

Kick off at Turner's Cross on Sunday is at 7pm.

also, I've a nice giveaway on da radio next week for fans wanting to go to the Cup Final

Here's the sceal from another press release
