The motorway goes nowhere near it. Try actually looking at the plans.

Sure, roadbuilding has been a Godsend to archaeology in Ireland.

The road goes through the ZAP "Zone of archaelogical protection" around TARA. GEE I wionder why that was put there in the first place? Maybe, and I'm only guessing, just maybe the ZAP was put in to protect the integrity of the site? Lets be fair we all know that in terms of archaelogical significance the importance of the TARA complex extends beyond the hill.

But to all the right wingers out there and the assholes who complain about the traffic in the area (you can always buy somewhere else), I'm sure it's justified that we build the road anywhere so long as they get their way.

Whats next, will we build a road through the republican plot in Glasnevin?

Ireland a nation infested with gombeens.

From protest site 'Hilloftara.info'

As presently defined, the Zone of Archaeological Protection around the Hill of Tara affords some level of heritage monitoring in this important landscape. Though informed generally by archaeological and historical analysis, the zone is primarily a planning guideline and is not intended to define or describe the limits of the Tara complex. Therefore, the question of whether the proposed road occurs inside or outside this zone is largely irrelevant.

And that's a protest site! Plus when you move back to this country, you can bang on about it.

Right-winger me hole.
