Massive test for MM, but he's probably the best politician left in the country at the moment.

Please don't say things like that!

The word "if" must be highlighted. IF my aunt had balls, she'd be me uncle!

Jesus, if Vincent Coyle finds out he'll have apoplexy.

That sort of math is the same way that the Shinner's get themselves elected in West Belfast.

I hope you are not suggesting that Gerry and Martin would have anything to do with impersonation or fiddling at an election.I thought it was the Unionists who counted only Protestant votes in Derry.

Jeez, Gerry must be creaming his pants at the very thought.

It's not a prospect. There just aren't enough eejits.

Yeah, I know, never underestimate the stupity of the electorate etc., but woolly logic and witty rhetoric only get you so far. Getting some of the people who sit at the back of the room heckling to take the responsibility of government is one thing, getting them all to do it is impossible. Then put them under the scrutiny of serious current affairs interviews ...

For SF/ULA to get a majority they will have to become a lot more mainstream. Already we can see the evolution of "Ming the Merciless" to "Luke Ming Flanagan" (the marujuana-less!), he's still got a way to go, but he's moving away from total crackpot territory. If they don't make this shift then they'll just be too anarchistic be united in anything but name.

As far the RTE report, try to remember that RTE are in business for the sake of RTE, specifically to protect their broadcasting monopoly. What they say is not ideology or morality, it's simply about winning audience figures and to hell with democracy and the economy.
