Default No premiership on Myp2p

Because of pending legal proceedings, Myp2p has removed all links in the following competions:
Elitserien - SM-Liga - NHL - Swedish Allsvenskan - Italian Serie A - English Premier
League - Dutch Eredivisie.
Once a judgment has been given, we will notify you of the outcome.

The Premier League called today for tighter laws against IT theft to stop the unauthorised online broadcasting of football matches.

One website that links to unauthorised live broadcasts of Premier League and other matches now attracts more traffic than the sites of broadcasters such as ITV, Radio 4's You and Yours reported.

The site, based in Holland, receives funding from online bookmaker bwin, which sponsors Real Madrid and AC Milan.

The Premier League said it was actively engaged in combating abuses of its rights, with legal notices sent to those found broadcasting matches to which they did not own the rights.

But as soon as one site had been stopped, another would pop up, said a Premier League spokesman.

'This kind of use of our rights is illegal and we take any abuse of our intellectual property very seriously,' he said.

'We're doing what we can about it but we need a set of laws at a national and European level to be able to combat IT theft.'

Bwin pays one such site for providing a link to it so that users can place bets. The bookmaker said it was not breaking any laws.

'Our commercial partner is the site that's the TV listing,' a spokesman told You and Yours. 'The (sites being linked to) are not our commercial partners.

'There is no relationship between bwin and any streamer of content whether or not they hold the rights to it.'

The legal implications are unclear, a lawyer told the programme.

Akash Sachdeva of law firm Allen & Overy said: 'The individual user putting the streams on their computers is not allowed. For the website providing a link to various channels it's a lot less clear.'

Myp2p won their recent court case and are back advertising links. It's a good idea to copy and paste those links to an excel file in case they become unavailable again.

It means you'll have the links to the channels even though they may not be advertised.

For a while there Myp2p weren't allowed to advertise links but that wouldn't have stopped anyone who had the links stored somewhere from watching the channels on sopcast, etc.
