Thumbs up 'Sisters' By Declan Hassett

Cork Arts Theatre Presents :'Sisters' by Declan Hasset
“Sisters” is the story of two sisters, Martha and Mary, who are searching for love in the rural Ireland of the 1950’s.

This is a story of heartbreaking frustration, betrayal and blazing emotions – one who cannot forgive, the other who cannot forget.

Stars renowned Cork actress, Gerry McLoughlin, playing the dual parts of Martha and Mary. The production is directed by another Cork theatre stalwart, Michael Twomey.

“As a showpiece it’s stellar; as a drama it’s stunning.”
- Variety Magazine

"Declan Hassett's village of Knockaree is not so terribly far from Martin McDonagh's Leenane" - New York Sun

Tickets: 6th - 10th August only €10,
13th - 17th August €15, €12 concessions, €10 groups of 10 or more. bookings : 021 4505624

"One who cannot forgive; the other who cannot forget"?
