Default The FAI?

Seen as the fai is nothing more than an old boys club, would irish football be better off setting up a rival organisation, with the backing of the players, and have the international team play for them instead of the fai. Then we might have a chance at getting into a competition more than once every 8 years.

As great an idea as that is, it would probably mean UEFA sanctions and a few years where our international team was banned from competition as I dont think UEFA are much better.
I fully agree with the sentiment though. The current system shows no respect for players or supporters at any level.

Ya, but at least we get to play a few games and show some of the world superpowers, (San Marino, Cyprus etc.) exactly what we're made of.
