test drove the new 6. wasnt over the moon with it. if they brought out a 1.6 diesel like the 407 they would fly off the shelf.
low sized diesels are the future for the next 5/10 years here. citreon are bringing out a 1.6 diesel for the c5 thats more powerful and cleaner than the current 2.0litre.

i drive a 2 litre c5 at the moment and have to admit the 407 1.6 diesel kicks its ass. the only thing i dont like about the new 6 is that the inside is somewhat similar to the old 6. they not a million miles apart and thats disapointing.

Mazda do have a 1.6l diesel version of the 3. Seriously thinking of buying a brand new one when the new tax regs. come in. I see what your saying though about the 6 diesel though. 407 is a savage car as well but I've heard poor things about the French.

I had one ear-marked for ya, a savage 530d, with full m-tec kit. Knew someone over in England selling one and wanted it gone quick, was prepared to sell it for nuts. I could have got it in for 20k. For whatever reason, your man decided against it. 'Twas his old man's car and he had died, like.

If I don't/can't get the funds together for a BMW 330D by July I'll either go for a 1.6hdi or 2.0hdi C4 3 door. Drove a 1.6 before, and they're brilliant. Well not brilliant but a lot better than you'd expect for a 1.6 diesel van. What's next is diesel-hybrids, with the small diesels that are currently available. PSA are working on something at the moment. Originally the 1007 was supposed to be a hybrid, but that was way back in the conceptual stages and they realised they still had more to do.

Nice LOOKING car for the money. But with a 2.2? Ugh. I've been in one, driven one and I'm telling you, those things are seriously slow for beamers like.
