Default FORAS Calls for Protest

Recent events at Cork City Football Club have forced supporters to actively show their opposition against the continuing involvement of CCIFC Ltd in our football club. As the voice of so many dedicated Cork City supporters FORAS will be to the fore in growing calls for CCIFC Ltd to leave our club to those who have its best interests at heart. We have already called on the chairman to honour all his commitments to players, staff and creditors and have asked him to open up the books to potential investors, including FORAS, who wish to take over the running of the club.

As part of the increased determination of supporters to see a sustainable Cork City Football Club we are calling our all Cork City supporters to join us next Tuesday in giving CCIFC Ltd the red card. We are asking supporters to gather outside the stadium at 6.30pm prior to the game with Sligo Rovers where we will hold a peaceful protest against the current management structure. We ask supporters not to enter the stadium until 10 minutes after kick off. During the half time break we will hold our 'Red Card to CCIFC Ltd' protest from the stands; this will involve hundreds of supporters waving the red card at the current owner of the club.

While many supporters have indicated reluctance in recent days to attend anymore Cork City games while the current chairman remains in place FORAS feel it is important at this time to show solidarity with the staff and players who have endured so much under the present owner. For this reason we ask that all supporters attend the game but join us in our protest on the night, prior to the match and during the half time break.

Here Today, Here Forever
Regards
FORAS BoM
