Default Queen Kong Question

Ok, so I've seen this band mentioned here on numerous occasions but I've generally ignored the threads. This is due to the fact that I'm almost positive I saw a band of the same name in Fred's about 3 years ago and thought they were complete and utter wank. The band I saw had a pretty heavy sound and seemed more interested in being a freak show than anything else (a guy in a gimp mask and all that). Anyhow, like i said I've seen them mentioned loads of times here since so I went and tracked them down on my space where they are down as "qk." Is this the same band? If it is it's one of the most impressive turnarounds ever!! The songs up on my space are fantastic and that song Photograph is one of the catchiest songs by a local band I've heard in a long long time. btw I mean catchy in a complimentary sense. It's just class. Anyway, can anyone tell me if this is indeed the same Queen Kong and if so what happened to bring about such a drastic change?

Surely not? Isn't the line up now Dave, Amy & Ruby? I definitely remember a male singer, yer man with all the hair and the gimp who didn't do much apart from be gimpy (in the best possible way) . In fact, I remember when Amy joined the band, and I remember Ruby's first appearances as a dancer rather than a musician. And I've seen the assless chaps.

Ya, that's the line up I saw. Gimp outfit and all that.
