Yawn....

The popular and charismatic BBC presenter is in a league of his own as the £5.19m (€5.84m) represents pay of £108,214 (€122,067) per show or £2,164 (€2,441) for every minute on screen from the 48 Graham Norton shows broadcast between August 2016 and the end of last year.

In 2017-18, Graham’s salary was listed as £600,000-£609,000 a year.

It was a small decrease from his 2016-17 BBC salary, which saw him earning between £850,000-£899,000.

However, Graham is reported to earn a lot more than that figure, as the salary does not include fees for his chat show - which are paid via a production company.

In 2015 the star was paid a whopping £2.5 million in “presenter feed, production feed and royalties” from production company, So Television - according to The Sun.

The star had formally owned the production company, selling it to ITV in 2012 for £17 million.

I think there's no doubt that there's a coterie of RTE "celebrities/personalities" who are getting paid way way in advance of their actual worth.

The sad thing in all of this is that as a result, RTE have been very timid in their investigative reportage of whatever government is in power for fear their budget will be drastically cut should they be too critical of whichever government controls the purse-strings.

No Marian, maybe you and your over-paid cronies did, but many of us didn't.

Investigative journalist and presidential candidate Gemma O'Doherty was outside RTÉ last night asking the questions that everyone else is afraid to ask.

Will they cut costs by axing the likes of D'Arsehlole and Tubs, or will it be the hard working 9-5 folk at the bottom?

Really
Terrible
