Default Ballincollig Winter Music Festival 26th - 30th Jan

The Ballincollig Winter Music Festival takes place from Wed 26th Jan to Sun 30th Jan.

Paddy Casey, Dervish, Fred, Paddy Keenan, Tommy Peoples and Frances Black headline the 5 day event, with free sessions, workshops, childrens events and the late night festival club filling out an exciting program.

Tickets for all the concerts can by bought online through www.whitehorse.ie or from The White Horse bar directly.

In fairness, Ballincollig is only a 25 min bus ride out of town. Last bus back in-along is 11.30. A cab after that would be 20 bucks though....

the last bus on a saturday is 10:10... which is also a balls. a cab shouldn't cost more than 17 from the west village..

Still tickets left for Paddy Casey - selling very well though, I'd expect them to be sold out by midweek next week at the latest.

Worth making the trip out by bus or taxi - there are loads of free sessions before and after the ticketed headline concerts...Lee Valley String Band, Ceili Allstars, The Calvinists, Crazy Chester, Sweet Nectar & some great trad sessions.

Eddie Lenihan will be centre stage for a childrens storytelling afternoon on Sunday at 1pm.

Bar extension on Saturday & Sunday too!

A taxi into town would take less than 10 minutes on a Saturday night.

Tickets for Paddy Casey are indeed sold out, but there's a great lineup of free music either side of the concert for those in search of a good Saturday night out...
