Well there's fuck all to do in the city after 9 or 10 at night unless you want to go drinking, bowling or play pool. Is there anywhere you can sit down with a cup of coffee at night? Depressing.
There's a place on winthrop street I think that stays open late.
Baby steps dukeroyale, baby steps. The Scandanavian model does not fit into cork at all so that is not even an issue. Cork and Ireland is controlled by compliant citezens that are not rebellious due to 800yrs of opression. They are more fond of quoting this than getting on with stuff. Plus our politicians are short term businessmen trying to please more powerful politicians from other countries.
I mean look at Enda Kenny, even his name attracts bullies in the playground. Back to the scandanavian issue. the reason that does not work is because it is a totally different demographic with a totally different history. Applying another countries model is stupid and a recipe for failure.
This country needs what it has not got i.e. strong leadership. Enda meh, pat him on the head and send him on his way until the next puppy comes along.
