They haven't a snowballs of making a play-off, and can hardly expect to draw another fellow ragball outfit like Iran or Estonia even if they did pull off that minor miracle. Unless the primadonna donkeys manage a shock win in Dublin over Germany or Sweeden, by the end of the group it will have been thirteen years since they last beat a decent team in a competitive game ,home or away. Borat's half-brothers and the fishermen and postmen will even fancy their chances at home against Da Repubalick.

And, of course, the sorriest story in soccer in these islands - it's not 25 years, they have never ,in the nearly one hundred years of their history, beaten a decent team away in a competitive game. Never ever.

Eleven (and counting) years and never!

I was gutted after the Euros, but the only way forward is to learn from what happened and move on with none of this closed shop business.
