A lot of people making out that's he's been kicked off for being controversial. To me he's being kicked off because he's just a pure an utter pain in the hole. People are turning off when he comes on because he makes for awkward TV - he's loud, obnoxious, talks over people, and is generally a TV version of that annoying bollox you try to avoid down the pub. What he said about Gough wasn't why people went mad last week, it was things like the weird giving out to Spillane before the match.

He's very good when talking about strategic issues in the GAA, but on the sport itself he's not exactly insightful.

If that was the case, why didn't they do it over the last five or more years?

Give me Brolly over Spillane any day.
He is a barrister of course, so that might explain why he feels it necessary to rubbish
most of what Spillane says. Indeed Cantwell is no Einstein either despite her attempts
to talk about a man's game.
