Protesters on the student wing of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association sang “We Shall Overcome” as they marched from Belfast to Derry in January 1969, demanding an end to discrimination against Catholics and basic democratic voting rights. At Burntollet Bridge, they were attacked by a mob of Orangemen, encouraged by the sectarian Royal Ulster Constabulary.

In June 1994 Ulster Volunteer Force gunmen shot dead six men in The Heights Bar in Loughinisland, County Down. The men were watching a World Cup football match. The oldest victim was 87-year-old Barney Greene.

Just looking at rte one there and he's handing out an award to a girls choir from Ballyphehane school who just won some national comp.

You have to admit they the unionists have come a long way to long may it continue.
