Duuuuuur, really?

You dont say.

He got away with it for so long because of who he is.
Thats what Im saying.
Shearer was the same, he could elbow with impunity long after he quit international football.

This is myopic in the extreme. Its retarded to say a fella playing top level football for close to 20 years is 'clumsy' or 'awkward' at tackling.

He's just dirty.

A great player but fond of kicking fellas and putting in awful tackles.
No shame in it.

How many times have any of his "victims" been out for long spells?
Scholes has always been a little petulant, as great players tend to be these days, but not a dirty player in the true sense of the word.

I can't honestly see Scholes starting the C.L. Final though!

Established English internationals get away with murder in the EPL.

Shearer's boots allegedly got stuck in the ground here and he was trying to free himself. Nothing ever came of it.

Absolutely!

I'm a huge fan of Scholes, a fantastic player but people telling me he simply 'couldn't tackle' after playing top level football for two decades are delusional.

He was dirty , to an extent.
Not Vinny Jones bad but quite partial to a reckless/late challenge.

If he hadn't been 'England International Paul Scholes' then he would have been just as quick in the book as the likes of Keane/Viera imo.

One thing I don't like about here is there are far too many fellas who do an Arsene on their own sides questionable play.
