I've warmed to him more since following him on twitter. He has some good takes and definitely benefits from being an outsider looking in at Ireland who tries to go against the grain. There is real fertile ground in the areas he is targeting where other journalists won't go. Most notably he went completely against the grain after Ireland beat the All Blacks and was totally vindicated. I like how he has approached the Gemma O'Doherty issue and McGreggor post old man punch. He struggles outside of his Ireland niche though, he takes the most vanilla woke angles on all things global politics, he constantly bleats on about the global rise of the right and political strong man but has no insights of any value as to the causes of this trend when pressed.

He's beaten down and battered after years of fighting but Mcgregor's lifestyle has finished him and Cowboy will weather the storm and have a field day when Colin gasses near the end of R2.

I have found myself agreeing with him on McGregor as far as his limited analysis goes. But that's about it.
