wouldn't put too much faith in what Bobby "sign the book pal" Charlton says in hindsight. he would have gotten the axe

Kudos to Mark Robins for saving them in the drawn game against Palace, his role in saving "Sir Alec" is Undeniable

I think they'd have won that match without Lee Martin, but they wouldn't have won that first title (or 1996, undoubtedly) without Cantona.

So Eric gets my vote.

As somebody else said, Mark Robbins was more important in the FA Cup campaign than Lee Martin.

A lot of good players and good managers owe a lot to Fergie
(Cantona, Keane, Beckham, Ole, Scholes etc etc etc)

Even those who have parted while quite young have been schooled well by the United boss and are enjoying good careers
(Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Andy Cole etc)

I'm delighted that all are unfliching in their respect for him

Even those who he had bad disputes with (Ince, Beckham, Stam) are full of respect for him

agreed, infact the original poll option was going to be "Lee Martin and Mark Robins" but i left it as Lee A. Martin on his own, (probably to be more obsure)
at least Mark robins had a career after MUFC.
