Indeed. You happy with Essien so far?

I admit I hadn't seen a huge amount of him at Lyon & haven't seen anything amazing in his few cameo appearances so far but all the reports would indicate that he is a top quality player who has the ability to play in a number of positions (not that chelsea are likely to be caught short anytime soon!) and will be equally happy helping out makalele with his defensive duties as he will be helping fat frank plunder the premiership's sub-standard defences

With the emergence of Sissoko (he looks a real talent...strong, enthusiastic, great athlete, awesome tackler) I can see liverpool playing a similar midfield trio to that currently employed by Chelsea. The one difference being that Alonso will sit deeper to pull the strings in midfield & Sissoko will contribute in attack far more than Makalele.

----------Sissoko----Alonso
-----------------Gerrard

----------Makalele
------Lampard-----Essien

Yep very happy with Essiens performances so far.

Soccer is entertainment now, and the multi millionaires that run it don't want their "talent" skipping off for a month.

Travesty of a mockery.
