Pretty intense schedule.

I've done none of the stuff up to day 10.

My comments
Day 11 - Depends on time of year, but can be relatively boring to just do the small park on the base. We did it, it was grand, nice orchids, but nothing more really. Apparently climbing Mt Kinabalu is spectacular, but it was vetoed on the honeymoon, apparently climbing a 4,000M mountain isn't 'romantic'...
Takes 3 days though. Not an easy 3 days apparently.

Day 12 - If your missus is very scared of heights, forget it, canopy walk was a serious struggle for my wife. The springs themselves were grand. Good 3 hour+ drive from them to Kota Kinabalu, depending on traffic.

Day 13 - Flight timing can be a pain in the hole, we had a 7am flight to Sandakan, not nice.

Day 13 - Sepilok if you have a crappy guide, they will rush you through, so try not to have something immediately scheduled for straight afterwards. We went straight to Kinabatangan, the guide ran us through there just as the orangutans arrived. We saw a good few, but it was a bit annoying.

Day 15 - Watch being scammed for "fuel money" in Kinabatangan. They tried to sting me for this. But that was brilliant, we took a boat from Sandakan, rather than road, but honestly, while the scenery was cool, you certainly didn't miss much by way of wildlife. Stopping off at the caves might be better
The river cruises are good though, book as many as you can, the night one is supposed to be very good too. Walking night tour was another good un.

Day 16 - Manukan isn't great, the snorkling there is shite, sand too stirred up, etc... Sapi was way, way better.

Couldn't recommend the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru enough, book the most basic room you can, don't bother with sea view, let them offer you the sea view room, so see if you like it and then negotiate on the club room. Don't book brekkie (~£18 a head), Club room has it free. Breakfast is amazing though, it is actually worth the money.

Shangri-La Rasa Ria is definitely worth the trip, but none of your agenda goes anywhere near it, you need a day trip to it.

Booking directly with SI tours might be a good idea too, we had a few issues with tour company subcontractors...
