They were massive.

Everyone in my house had something to say about them.

Today is a day for watching the golf I'd say, mayo to win by 15 or so and the usual Ulster muck in the second game.

Thumbs down

Kildare fans letting themselves down after the game last night.

Terrible scenes.

This is not good enough from the GAA.

There could be a 25/30 point gap in the Mayo - London game today.

Stiil though,looking forward to it.

Good article.

I guess its just a sign of the times. If an 18 years old maurice fitz is coming through I have no doubt he'll be physically up to it.

Maurice was probably caught between 2 generations.

Very hard to disagree with any of that. I hope he is wrong about there being no way back but sadly he is probably right. Growing up in Cork and supporting football has always meant defending football too to a certain extent. I'm sure we have all had the jibes about it being a 'stupid game' and a 'game for bad hurlers' etc. Truthfully though it's becoming hard to defend what the most recent incarnation of Gaelic Football, for the most part it is awful to watch and it is a 'stupid game'
