My stomach hadn't been turned that badly since Comfortably Numb featuring Benedict Cumberbatch

The box collection thingy is terribly overpriced and repetitive. Theres a few gems on there but most of it imo, is crap. 10 version of this, 7 versions of that, some with no vocals or slower versions etc. I'll never buy it and that's for sure.

The Early Years Cre/ation on Spotify is about the best of it.

Used to love this one as a nipper, find it a bit depressing to say the least nowadays but the music is pretty good. Sometimes I wish albums, Floyd ones in particular, came with an instrumental version included.

Today we mark the release in 1983 of The Final Cut, the final Pink Floyd studio album to include Roger Waters, and the only album not to include Richard Wright.

EDIT...Hmm, just watched the vid.

I was with a band recording down there in the mid 90's and Pat told us he played in a PF tribute band, not a band that played regular gigs but something him and his M8s would do now and again, for the love of it.

Weird that wasn't mentioned, unless my memory is really that shot

Hmm, maybe it was late 90's but I came across the recording recently and iirc it was 1996, I'll check that latter. The flag was there and that is for sure, I remember it and being a big Floyd feen, I was very impressed by it.

The Division Bell, 23 years old today, I like this album although the outtakes from the recording session that made up The Endless River album 2014 is a hellofalot better.

Quote:
Released today in 1994, The Division Bell was the Floyd's fourteenth studio album, with its theme of communication running through the album. With working titles including Awaken To The Sense Of Reality, and Pow Wow, the album's confirmed title came from author Douglas Adams who provided it in exchange for a donation to his favourite charity, the Environmental Investigation Agency. Here's an alternate image from the cover photo sessions...
