Default pink Floyd

I thought the version of Wish You Were Here at the Olympic closing ceremony with Floyd drummer Nick Mason, Genesis' Mike Rutherford and Ed Sheeran was great last night, the lad did good and what a great song. Any Floyd fans, have you seen their App?

What was the story with that? I take it that Gilmore and Waters were asked and declined and the organisers said, ''Oh well, lets ask Ed Sheeran and some guy from The Feeling instead, people will love that''!!?? Live 8, it was not. It was a little strange to see Rutherford there. They should have played Land Of Confusion instead.

The closing ceremony didn't have the same level of quality control with the music as Danny Boyle's opening bash. It was unreal to hear Blue Monday etc and i loved that once he got to Song 2, he then basically skipped the next 12 or so years of shite that now passes for pop music.

Oh and yeah i do like Pink Floyd. Well their 70's material anyway.
