Default Things to do in Togher

Any recommendations for things to do in Togher? Sightseeing, restaurants, pubs, clubs etc.

Cheers,

Pepe.

You could attend a rugby match in the next Parish over on Pearse's Road(sic)

You could pick up a bargin or a bag of carrots in Lidl.

Move yourself up the heart attack list with a trip to the fine eateries, Jumbo Chinese or Barties Chipper.

Get down with the locals and fuck a cinder block over the railing on one of the many flyovers that cross the South Ring.

I'm sure there's plenty more too.

Togher, LET YOURSELF GOOOOOO!!

You could gaze at the new Fingerpost for a while and wonder where else in cork do they have one.

Beautiful and spotless recreation area on Clasduv Road.

Visit the site of the now infamous "NBA flats," just turned in to a World Heritage Site.

Take a trip to Togher Boys National School, a school that saw the likes of Denis Irwin go through their paces. The building itself is a great example of a post war industrial school.

The architecture of Togher church is renowned all over the world.

Take a stroll along Liberty Stream, from Corcoran’s Bridge to Togher Cross where it disappears underground for a short while before re-emerging at Greenwood and flowing past Coffey’s Field before joining the larger Tramore River on its way to Douglas. Just bring a headlamp for the underground part lol.

You'll adore the place, from fine dining in The Deanrock Bar whilst still being near the countryside on the edge of a thriving city, Togher has it all.

I miss the place.
