Good article here which highlights the need for an asterix next to this result.

"are we celebrating a breakthrough in human performance, or a breakthrough in technology and strategy?..

But when I sat back and considered the event at its brilliant best, the attempt today was a fascinating exploration of human (and technological) potential in a sport currently fighting an uphill battle".

I don't believe anything on the podium in athletics, swimming or cycling anymore. Toxic sports

Roger didn't have running shoes designed by Nasa scientists with 4 curved carbon plates in the soles.
He also didn't have a big van with an oversized clock driving ahead of him which served to block the wind, not to mention the laser lights which kept his 41 pace setters in step every step of the way.
Not to take away from the achievement it was an amazing spectacle to see him run it. But the asterix is more than justified based on all the above.
And we won't even get into the fact that this was a Nike event which took place days after the the Oregon project was shut down over a doping scandal.

Edgar Allen is onreal

He helps ya finish a sub 2 hour marathon without breaking a sweat.

But no no! The lad wasn’t doping!

Ya right!

How many times was Lance tested??

I could be wrong though, it might be those lethal trainers he wears? Or the high carb diet maybe?

100%

You’d want to be one naive moron to think that this run was full natty.

He ran that race like it was a training run, didn’t take a thing out of him. He crosses the line fresh as a daisy, his partners come in a couple of minutes later and you can actually see one or two of them out of breath and refusing the hugs from him ha ha.

They should just leave them all dope.

Let the drugs become a part of the sport.

99.99% of pros are on something.
