Homosexuality is illegal in Qatar, and prevailing cultural mores view homosexuality and cross-dressing negatively. The Qatari government does not recognize same-sex marriage or civil partnerships, nor does it allow people in Qatar to campaign for LGBT rights.

Status: Illegal: Islamic Sharia law is applied

Penalty: Fine or 7 years in prison

Paddy is a legendary player and he’s fast becoming a legendary pundit.

“I call Arsenal my babies”

“I loved playing Arsenal. I knew I was going to win”.

“When RVP arrived I shook his hand and said welcome to a man’s club. He was upset at first, but a month later he said I was right”

Jamie Carragher just apologised to Evra live on air for the wearing of those shirts.

Fair play.

Terrific chat with Evra after the match. A really intelligent thoughtful man.

Wait, wut, Evra wasn't playing the victim all along? There's a turnip for the bucks.

🗣 Evra: “When I saw it I was like this is ridiculous. This is unbelievable.

"You always have to support your player, but this was after the ban.

"What message do you send to the world? Supporting someone being banned because he used some racist words."

🗣 Carragher: "There’s no doubt we made a massive mistake.

"I’m not saying I wasn’t part of it because as the club we got it wrong and I was vice-captain. I’m not sure who was actually behind it.

"Maybe I didn’t have the courage as an individual to say ‘I wasn’t wearing it’."I don’t think everyone at LFC thought what we were doing was right.

"Your first reaction is to protect your team-mate. Even when you know they have done something wrong. And that's wrong.

"I’m not condoning what we did. Apologies, we got it massively wrong."

Agree 100% with Carragher, it was a crass and ill advised pr stunt that went massively wrong. This whole “he’s a cunt but he’s our cunt” spiel is stupid. Suarez brought great shame to the club and they exacerbated it with the t-shirt stunt. It was easy to make an example out of Flanagan when they sacked him over the domestic abuse thing.

Flanagan is shite. Suarez was top 3 in the world at the time and the club were protecting an asset . It’s wrong but it happens.
I’m not “scouse” same as you aren’t a “manc”, that’s pathetic.

I follow Liverpool for the simple reason that my Nan bought me a jersey when I was 4/5 years old. Over 30 years ago. That’s the extent of my “connection” to the club. I’m not going to try to defend the indefensible just because of a whim my Nan had. She bought the cousin a Leeds top so it could have been worse.
