Breaking news on Sky, no reasons yet but should be intresting to see what happens to him in the next week or 2

I think he knows he's taken Bolton as far as he can and there's no point staying on. They're never going to be able to challenge for the title, the best they can do is finish as the best or among the best in the group outside of United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
He's already done that so the only way is down from now on.

He's part of Ransom's package to take over City according to the papers this morning.
Not much more he can do with Bolton, imagine he could do more at Citeh -them in Europe on a regular basis would be amazing and the fans deserve it.

They will try and replace like with like. Bolton are famous for their state of the art sports science set-up. A continental tactical/fitness guru type in the Benitez or Mourinho mould would suit them well.
